SpeakTime Versions
This is a list of the previous versions of SpeakTime and the features added to each.
Version 1.0
- First version, running on Mac OS 9, many moons ago
Version 2.0
- A rewrite in Powerplant for OS 9 and OS X using Carbon. Similar functionality to Version 1.
Version 2.0
- The last version to support OS 9. Not particularly appealing visually on OS X.
Version 3.0.1
- A complete rewrite in cocoa, with Desktop clocks, custom graphics, and animated dock icon.
- Also various features which only make sense on OS X, such as hiding the dock icon.
- Uses Cocoa Bindings and therefore requires OS X 10.3.
Version 3.1.0
- Added several new styles of desktop clock
- New reminders set in one hours time by default
- Auto-check for updates feature added
- Rearranged dock and contextual menu
- Adding and removing reminders now properly reflected on Desktop clock
- Ignores invisible folders in style folder
- Fixed problem in recognising long registration codes
- Fixed bug with setting times manually
- Worked around bug in dateWithNaturalLanguageString
Version 3.1.1
- Fixed problem with sporadic time announcements introduced in 3.1
- Fixed problem where moving desktop clock stops updates to clock
Version 3.2.0
- Multiple desktop clocks with different time zones
- Date can now be show on desktop clocks
- You can now resize desktop clocks
- Option for desktop clocks to ignore mouse clicks
- 6 new styles of desktop clock available (14 in total)
- Small cosmetic changes to some styles of clock
- Date, time zone and AM/PM in custom colours/positions

- Desktop Clocks now always have a shadow
Version 3.3.0
- Added startup and wake announcements
- Preferences window not shown on launch if there is a desktop clocks
- Fixed bug showing desktop clocks on 10.4

- AM/PM suffix now clearer when spoken

- Fixed duplicated announcements when announcement set to ‘on wake’

- Added Growl support
- Fixed annoying bug with announcements being reset on sleep
- Desktop Clocks can now be up to 256 pixels in size
- Added a bunch of new clocks and redrew some older ones
- Older clocks will be moved to a folder called ‘Older Clocks’ in your SpeakTime Styles folder
